Clearwater Records — Label Bio
Clearwater Records is an independent music label based in Los Angeles, California, with roots that stretch back to 1994. The label was founded with the release of “Can’t Go Home,” the debut CD from Tim Gales & The Stand, marking the beginning of a creative journey centered on original songwriting, artist development, and forward-thinking production.
Over the years, Tim Gales went on to record multiple projects under the Clearwater Records banner, while also establishing Millspring Music Publishing to support and protect the growing catalog of original songs. As the label evolved, Clearwater Records expanded its roster, signing and developing artists including Jane Bolduc and Jamie Dunlap, further strengthening its reputation for nurturing distinctive voices and authentic music.
In recent years, Clearwater Records has entered a bold new chapter, embracing emerging technology to pioneer the creation of virtual artists. The label is now home to innovative AI-driven acts such as Ardis, Dani Hartley, and Tuxedo Snow, blending human creativity with cutting-edge tools to explore new forms of storytelling, performance, and global music distribution.
Today, Clearwater Records stands at the intersection of tradition and innovation — carrying forward its decades-long commitment to great songs and meaningful artistry while helping shape the future of music through the next generation of virtual performers.
